Medical Biller

We are hiring medical billers to support our growing billing service. Podiatry billing experience is highly preferred, but will train if necessary. Experience with The Sammy Systems is helpful but not required.

To be qualified for this position, candidates must have 2 years of medical billing and industry experience. You will work as part of a team to ensure our client’s needs are not only met, but exceeded. You may choose to work on site at our office or remotely from the comfort of your own home.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of medical billing experience (podiatry preferred)
  • Experience with Revenue and Claim cycle
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of electronic billing and collections

Additional Duties would include the following:

  • Train on the Sammy software and the Sammy process to ensure standards are being followed globally for all clients
  • Perform posting charges and completion of claims to payers in a timely fashion
  • Work claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
  • Perform reviews and audits on insurance carrier’s EOB’s to properly maintain fee schedules
  • Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtain any missing information
  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing
  • Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time-frame
  • Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
  • Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
  • Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances
  • Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up
  • Researching and appealing denied claims
  • Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts
  • Setting up patient payment plans and work collection accounts
  • Updating billing software with rate changes
  • Run collection reports
  • Document time spent on clients on a daily basis for review from management

Health Information Technology Support Representative

To be qualified for this position, candidates must have proficient industry experience Medical, CRM (customer relationship management) and Microsoft Office software. You will work as part of a team with answering client’s questions about how to operate our software. You will also log your phone call in detail and follow up on your own cases. You will report directly to the software support manager.

This job requires that you work out of our office in Oceanside, NY.

Job Experience Requirements:

  • Experience providing excellent customer service (at least 2 years)
  • Experience and very comfortable with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Medical Software
  • Type at least 50 WPM
  • Any other software experience will be helpful

Additional Requirements:

  • Have experience and enjoy working in customer service
  • Multi task
  • Familiarity with operations and billing procedures in a doctor’s office is a plus
  • Excellent team collaboration skills
  • Sign a standard non-disclosure agreement

.NET HIT Developer (EHR experience preferred)

POSITION OVERVIEW

To be qualified for this position, candidates must have proficient industry experience with .NET and Visual Studio technologies. You will work as a developer within a team-oriented environment and focus on application development related to state-of-the-art Electronic Health Records software. You will also collaborate on the development and maintenance of internal line-of-business and support applications.

Salary: $70,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
